Moms, we are the biggest influence in our children’s lives. The biggest by any comparison. It is so important to keep our hearts filled with good things, so when it is a difficult day, we demonstrate character to our children. Having a good supply of Bible verse resources is how I work to fill myself up, and below are some of my favorite verses every mom should memorize.

10 Bible Verses Every Mom Should Memorize

Some of my favorite verses for motherhood are listed below, and I hope you find them as encouraging and prove to help you in your position as a mom.

  1. Titus 2:4 ~ “That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children“.
  2. Proverbs 22:6 ~ “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it“.
  3. Isaiah 40:29-31 ~ “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
  4. Deuteronomy 6:6-9 ~ “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”
  5. Philippians 4:6-8 ~ “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
  6. Colossians 3:23 ~ “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”
  7. James 1:3-5 ~ “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
  8. Matthew 6:30-34 ~ “Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
  9. I Thessalonians 5:15-17 ~ “See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing.”
  10. James 1:19-20 ~ “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.”

Have you ever felt like life was just robbing your joy? I have, and it did!

Well, the truth is that I allowed my own reflections to rob my joy, but at the time, I really felt it was my life as a wife and mother, and that just really confused me.

Thankfully, I used scripture to give me the insight to what was really wrong with my joy, and more importantly, how I got it back! I would love to share my journey with you, and help you identify your own level of joy, and how to increase it.
